Disclosure and Review Policy
Often I am asked to review books, which I’m happy to do. Publishers, authors and publicists send me review requests. I don’t have to return the books after reading nor do I accept them all. Book reviews are free and we do them here for a love of reading.
This arrangement doesn’t influence my review in any way. Acceptance of a book that you’d like to be considered for a review doesn’t guarantee a review nor a positive one. Sometimes life gets in the way of my reading time, so I make no promises, except this one: You will always read an honest, thoughtful and balanced review of a book from me.
Reviewing a book involves a considerable investment in time and effort. I read it carefully in its entirety, sometimes more than once, and then craft the book review. Any self respecting book reviewer will spend several hours on a single book and the review. I’m one of those. All thoughts and opinions expressed in my reviews are my own and no one else’s.
